Why Join a Local Jaycee Chapter ?
We in the Jaycees are proud of our organizations, our traditions and our history. I think what is sometimes missed are the services we provide in our local communities. Another often missed bit of praise is the fact that young people are given the chance to prove themselves as leaders. You might never learn to recruit, motivate, train, guide and help others until you have a problem to solve or meet someone that needs help.
With all it’s fine ideas, programming and social opportunities, this organization needs new people to become new members, to help solve problems, to learn and grow. This organization gives you that opportunity.
I know this because while a super web geek today I was once a kid out of college, with not a lot of skills. They needed a web page and I wanted to learn. This has become my career and I have benefited from the experiences I’ve had and the friends I’ve made.
So this is where you come in. Join us. Like so many things, you never know until you try. We need your help, ideas for projects and your participation. You need a purpose, new friends and new adventures. The Region Five Jaycees have it all for you.
Be All You Can Be, Become a Jaycee.
REGION FIVE has the fever in East Central Missouri (in and around St. Louis). We lead the Missouri Jaycees in fundraising, growth and enthusiasm. Our region has over 16 chapters and is known for its member-driven teamwork and ability to hustle with style during Jaycee competitions. Our civic spirit enables us to contribute to our communities with a range of community development projects while learning important personal leadership skills. We also give high priority to just having fun!
Are you between the ages of 18 and 40? Are you looking for a way to help your community or to make a difference in just one person's life? Join one of the REGION FIVE local Jaycee chapters. This is a great way to expand your organizational, leadership, fundraising, social and networking skills as you grow within the organization. You're sure to benefit from the many friends and relationships you will gain along the way.
Join me, Danielle Epple, the Region 5 team and our local Jaycee chapters as we work to improve our communities and ourselves.
