The
following list is what will count for points for the Region 5 Parade of Chapters Competition.

Develop a mission statement and vision for your chapter. For help you can
contact Region Director Holly Kosick. You can submit these with your final point

membership table at each event and submit to Keri by email or mail. (5 Points
per Event)
A4.
Submit an updated roster each trimester. Rosters should include names,
addresses, phone numbers and email address (if they have them) for chapter
members. (15 Points per Trimester)

Submit a chapter brochure. (15 Points,
Once per year).
A6.
Run the prospecting game from the US Jaycee Website. You can run the game once
per trimester. Submit the list of prospects and any new members from the game.
You will need to get at least two new members per trimester to get points. (20
Points per Trimester)

Submit a copy of chapter insurance, incorporation papers, or 990. (2 Points per
document, first trimester only)
Chapter
Communication and Press
B1.
Submit press releases for your chapter events. You can include community
calendar submissions as press releases. (5 Points per Release, once per event
for up to 8 events a trimester)
B2. Submit newspaper clipping, or links to TV
or radio news articles that are online. You can also send a recording of the TV
or Radio coverage. Digital copies can be emailed to Keri. Note: this doesn’t
include community calendar listings or paid advertisements. (10 Points per
Story).
B3.
Submit copies of your chapter newsletters to Keri. They can be mailed or
emailed at the time of publication. You can submit up to 4 newsletters per
trimester. (2 Points per Newsletter)
B4.
Please email a link to your chapter websites or networking sites. Websites can
stand alone or can be networking websites such as MySpace or Facebook. Websites
can be submitted once per year. (10 Points per Website)
B5.
You will also get points for updating chapter websites. Send an email with the
web link and a short paragraph on what has been updated to Keri. You can get
update points once a trimester for each website. (1 point per Website Updated)
B6.
Inter-chapter communications such as emails, postcard, or letters advertising
upcoming events sent out to advertise events should also be submitted to Keri
and the region team. You can submit up to 2 chapter communications per month.

B7.
Take a picture of your banners at Chapter events. You can submit the picture
electronically or by mail. You can submit up to two per trimester (2 Points per
Banner)
B8.
Provide a picture of chapter t-shirts or other types of clothing. You must be
able to see the chapter name or logo in the pictures. Pictures can be submitted
digitally or by mail. Pictures can be submitted during the second trimester
only. (10 points per year)
B9.
Submit a chapter business card. It can be a generic chapter card of a card for
one of your chapter’s officers. You can only submit one per trimester. (3
Points each)
B10.
Send a picture or your name badges by mail or electronically. Pictures will
only be accepted during the first trimester. (1 Point)
Community
and Jaycee Involvement
C1. Attend a Chamber of Commerce Meeting or after
hours chapter networking event.
Submit
a chapter meeting agenda or flyer for the membership event attended. You may
submit up to 4 per trimester. (3 Points per Event)
C2.
Submit letters of endorsement from your city mayor, fire chief, or police
chief. A copy can be mailed to Keri. You can submit up to one endorsement per
trimester. (5 Points)
C3.
Visit another chapter’s meeting. Visitations should include at least two of
your chapter members. Submit an agenda from the host chapter with your toolkit
point sheet. A copy of the state POC visitation form will also be accepted. One
chapter’s meetings may only be visited once per trimester for toolbox points.

C4.
Visit another chapter’s event. Visitations should include at least two of your
chapter members. Submit something signed by the host chapter with scavenger
point sheet. A copy of the state POC visitation form will also be accepted. One
chapter’s events may only be visited once per trimester for toolbox points. (5
Points per Visit per chapter)
C5.
Attend a District Meeting. Get a signed agenda from your district director
listing all of those from your chapter present at the district meeting. Submit
the signed agenda with your point sheet. (1 point per Person in Attendance)
C6.
Attend a Region Meeting. Get a signed agenda from your region or district
director listing all of those from your chapter present at the region meeting.
Submit the signed agenda with your point sheet. (2 point per Person in
Attendance)
C7.
Attend a region or district training. Get a signed paper from the trainer
listing all of those from your chapter present at the training. Submit the
signed agenda with your point sheet. (3 point per Person in Attendance)
C8.
President or other representatives attend the presidents’ meeting. Get a signed
paper from another president in attendance. Submit your signed papers with your
point sheet. (3 Points per Meeting)
C9. Get points for attending Access Day at the
State Fair. You will receive points for each chapter member in attendance. Get
a list of chapter members in attendance signed by the Access Day program
manager, any state VP, or the State President and submit it with your point
sheet. Access Day points should be turned in during the second trimester. (3
point per Person in Attendance)
C10.
Get points for attending camp work weekends. You will receive points for each
chapter member in attendance. Get a list of chapter members in attendance
signed by the program manager, any state VP, or the State President and submit
with your point sheet. (3 point per Person in Attendance)
C11.
Copy Keri when submitting digital pictures to the State and Region Newspaper
editors. Up to five pictures will be credited per trimester. (2 Points per
Picture)
C12.
Copy Keri when submitting digital articles to the State and Region newsletter
editors. (3 Points per Article)
C13.
Get points for hosting a region or district social. Provide a copy of the flyer
electronically or with your point sheet. Only one per trimester (10 Points)

Participate in Region Competitions. You will get points for each chapter member

Host a forum or debate on a local or national issue. You can hold one per
trimester. Send a flyer for the debate, agenda or meeting material. You may get
