"Dead Chapters Tell No Tales"

Region 5 Director
Danielle Epple

My name be Captain Mad Ethel Cash (Danielle Epple) an' I be servin' as yer Region Director fer 2008.

With me theme "Dead Chapters Tell No Tales" I be lookin' forward t' a voyage of not only growth in numbers but also growth in active members as well.

I b'lieve that thar be more t' bein' a Jaycee than th' size o' yer crew. We need t' focus as much on retainin' th' crew that we be havin' as we be focusin' on gettin' new crew members. Without active existin' crew and new young crew members yer ship will sink t' Davy Jones' locker.

I, like th' majority o' Jaycees, want t' be seein' this organization continue long after I be gone. Let me know if I can help in any way.

I be travelin' across th' region on this year long voyage an' look fore t' meetin' many o' ye. Please drop me an email if ye would like me t' visit yer event or meetin'.

                                Thank you!

    Bulletins:

From Keri Jupka, Mission Inn Jaycees:
"Mission Inn will be going to two Muny shows this year. We will be attending the June 19th show of the Producers and the July 10th show of My Fair Lady. We will be buying group tickets for $13.60 (the normal price is $17.00).   Anyone is welcome to join us at the Muny.   Please let me know ASAP if you would like to join us."

From Brian Boeckman, Vice President, West St. Louis County Jaycees:
"Come out and be part of our community celebration, Ballwin Days, Friday, June 27 through Sunday, June 29 at Vlasis Park in Ballwin. We are a big part of this festivity. You are invited to come on out, enjoy the festivities, and pitch in unhooking a fish, pouring a beer or handing out glow-necklaces during the music concerts and fireworks."

From Tonya Benton, President, Missouri Jaycees:
"Donations for Access Day are down. We need to raise $8,000 to $12,000 for this event to happen." Please help to make this project happen with your chapter's contribution to Access Day at the Fair, August 15, 2008.
